The Polish coach Aleksander Mandziara was the man responsible for returning Young Boys Berne to the pinnacle of the Swiss game during the 1985-86 season with a first title win in 26 years . The arrival of midfielder Robert Prytz midway through the season proved pivotal as the Swedish international quickly formed a fine understanding with Swiss star Georges Bregy and Danish striker Lars Lunde.
